Image: European Commission Comparison report of the European Qualifications Framework and the Ukrainian National Qualifications Framework
In the EQF Recommendation 2017, the Commission and the Member States were recommended to explore the possibility of comparing third countries' national and regional qualifications frameworks with the EQF.
The European Qualifications Framework (EQF) has the potential to facilitate transparency and recognition of qualifications internationally. Comparing EQF with national and regional qualifications frameworks of third countries will enable a better understanding of other national and regional qualifications frameworks in Europe and vice versa. One of the key benefits of comparison will be to make the recognition of qualifications easier.
