On April 23, 2025, amendments to Cabinet Regulation No. 322 “Regulations on the Classification of Latvian Education” came into force. These amendments introduced significant changes to the implementation of existing education programs at the higher education level, as well as defined a new type of program at the higher education level, upon the successful completion of which a new type of qualification is awarded. The following types of programs are foreseen at the higher education level:
